How it all started...
In 1917, a group of believers from First Baptist Church Shepherdsville adopted a declaration of faith and met in the vicinity of Bardstown Junction, Kentucky. The church was organized on September 24th, 1917 and was pronounced "a Baptist Church of the New Testament of Jesus Christ." The church originally met at the intersection of Beech Grove Road and Horsefly Hollow Road.
Expanding the vision...
In 1971, a new church building was built on three acres of land at our current location on Preston Highway. The location was dedicated in 1972. In 1985, a new sanctuary building was built where we currently hold our worship services.
Where we are headed...
We believe that God is able to do immeasurably more than all that we can ask or think in our church and in our community. We are looking forward to what God will do in 2024 and beyond!
